Cablz is all about giving back to the community! We often sponsor and participate in 5k races that donate back to local charities. Our entire team (along with our furry friends) enjoy supporting the local community and many nonprofit organizations. We love outdoor adventures and wearing our Cablz eyewear retainers while making memories. Our eyewear retainers function better than other lanyards or straps when we are on the go.
One of our favorite nonprofits is Hand in Paw. Hand in Paw’s mission is to improve human health and well-being through Animal-Assisted Therapy. They train qualified animals and their owners to work as a team in therapeutic settings.
Sometimes straps or lanyards are needed when training outdoors. Our Cablz eyewear retainers are perfect for sunglasses when training outdoors. After training, these HIP teams become heroes to people of all ages dealing with emotional and physical life challenges.
These Therapy Teams deliver positive distraction, motivation, empathy and compassion in several facilities across Central Alabama and Tuscaloosa.
In the past, Cablz , the original “off the neck” eyewear retainer, supported the Crisis Center by participating in the Just a Call Away 5K. The Crisis Center’s mission is to serve the unmet needs of people experiencing personal crisis or mental health issues and respond with services that promote coping, emotional health and wellbeing. Another nonprofit that we support is the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders, which is a partnership between the UAB Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Children’s of Alabama, the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center and National Childhood Research entities including the National Cancer Institute and the Children’s Oncology Group. Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders physicians are actively working toward the goal of a cure for all children through research and development of innovative therapies. We have also enjoyed participating in events supporting The Arthritis Foundation, who rallies with its volunteer force to continue its mission of finding a cure for arthritis, the leading cause for disability in America.
Other races we’ve done have supported the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Susan G. Komen is a breast cancer organization in the United States. Komen focuses on patient navigation and advocacy, providing resources for breast cancer patients to understand the American medical system. It has also funded research into the causes and treatment of breast cancer.
In the past, we have donated revenue from our pink Cablz eyewear retainers in the month of October for breast cancer awareness month. These eyewear retainers are perfect for women and better than the regular lanyards or straps from other brands.
